How to run this in a meeting
Open with one question, not five. Read both options, give everyone five seconds to commit, then take a quick lap where each person says their pick and one reason. On a call, ask people to type A or B in chat first so the quiet half of the team answers too.
The point is not the question, it is getting every voice heard once before the real agenda starts. Teams where everyone has already spoken once contribute far more in the rest of the meeting.

Frequently asked questions
- What are good Would You Rather questions for work?
- Work questions have to be safe to answer in front of a manager: remote or office, four long days or five short ones, a pay rise or extra holiday. Everyone can answer in one sentence and nobody has to reveal anything personal.
- How long should a Would You Rather icebreaker take?
- Two to four minutes. One question, one lap of the room, one sentence each. Anything longer stops being a warm-up and starts eating the meeting it was supposed to open.
- Do these work for remote and hybrid teams?
- Yes, and they are better remote than most icebreakers because nobody needs a camera, a prop or a whiteboard. Drop the question in chat, have everyone answer with a single letter, then ask two people to explain.
- Are these questions safe for a professional setting?
- Every question on this page is workplace-safe: nothing about pay negotiations, politics, religion or personal relationships. The optional 18+ set on the main Would You Rather page is separate and off by default.
